Uber Eats payout reconciliation

Reconcile grouped Uber Eats payouts to bank deposits.

Uber Eats Payment Details can contain multiple order-level rows for the same payout. Payout Recon groups those rows by Payout reference ID first, then compares the grouped payout amount with candidate bank deposits. This keeps order-level detail separate from the bank-level reconciliation.

How to read exceptions

An Uber Eats-only payout means the grouped payout has no eligible bank deposit under the current amount and date rules. A bank-only row is a candidate deposit that did not match any grouped payout. Review the payout date, bank posting date, description filter, and any timing difference before treating an exception as missing cash.

Why use Payment Details?
The tool groups Payment Details by Payout reference ID so order-level lines become a bank-level payout before matching.

Do I need exact posting dates?
No. You can configure a date window to allow normal payout-to-bank timing differences.

Are duplicate candidates auto-selected?
No. When a match is not unique, the reconciliation keeps it visible for review.

Why Payment Details can reconcile to the bank

Uber documents Total payout as the payout associated with an order, Payout Date as the date Uber initiated that payout, and Payout reference ID as the identifier connecting Payment Details to the Payout Summary report.

Payout Summary remains the accounting cross-check

Uber says the Payout Summary contains aggregate payouts that reflect the amount deposited to the merchant's bank account, and recommends using Payout Reference ID to reconcile it with Payment Details.

Matching rules

Payment Details rows with the same Payout reference ID are summed first. Each grouped Uber Eats payout can then match at most one bank row. Amounts must be within the selected tolerance and, when both dates are available, within the selected date window.

Both CSVs remain in the browser. Refreshing or closing the page discards the imported data.
